In this video, you will see the effects of fire on three types of safety storage cabinets. They are commonly used for storing flammable liquids, each cabinet has a different fire resistance class.
• Single-walled sheet steel cabinet – No standard
• Double-walled sheet steel cabinet – Manufactured to FM standard 6050
• Safety storage cabinet – Manufactured to EN 14470 part 1
Each cabinet contained the same volume of hazardous materials: 24 aerosol spray cans (500 ml) and 4 litres of petrol. The demonstration was conducted in the same outdoor environment for each cabinet.
