The ESDTi Spray Dryer from Labtex is a compact, extremely quiet, efficient and simple to operate Laboratory Scale Spray Dryer.
Spray drying is still the most economical method of evaporation to reduce a liquid feed to solid powder particles. In addition, the powder is one of the most versatile and cost effective methods of preservation, for both storage and transportation of finished goods – a key factor in an era of rising fuel costs and environmental concern.
Labtex worked in partnership with European SprayDry Technologies, the UK’s only independent industrial spray dryer manufacturer, to develop the new model. Together they have refined the M1 model, launched in 2007. The unit retains its exceptional simplicity of operation, an integral compressor, dial controls and push buttons which are complimented by the inclusion of CALgrafix process monitoring software.
The unit has a maximum temperature of 200º C and liquid flow rate of 1.6 kg/hr and costs less than £16K complete.
